Happy 4th of July!

July 1, 2009 by John

I wanted to update today to let everyone know we're still working on a *lot* behind-the-scenes with the Skytop Lodge investigation. The next date we're awaiting is July 18th, and this is the night of the room 268 investigation and seance.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to welcome Donna, our newest future investigator, to the group. Donna has had an interest in the supernatural since she was young and had experiences herself. She has been searching for answers her entire life, and has now become a part of PPR to continue on her journey. Again, welcome! She is to be trained by Devon in the next week or so.

I would just like to take this opportunity to say to everyone just how much we are shaping up and how proud I am of our almost entirely new team. It's a far cry from how we started out. Old friends and investigators are definitely missed, but our new ones are cherished. Again, a congratulatory "good job" goes out to each and every one of the team. I'd also, again, like to thank all of our loyal fans that visit our site each and every week. Stay tuned because good things are coming.

That's it for the moment. Have a happy and safe Independance Day everyone! Until next time...

Just a quick update to let everyone know that the links page is just about finished, pending other members' links that they might want included.

This Thursday, most of us will be getting together for a psychic workshop to learn what we can about clairsentience. We are all anxiously looking forward to this!

Our page renovations are coming along nicely, and the next section we're going to update is the "Our equiptment". This will take a bit longer and should be up within the next week or so.

Much to Liza, Bryan, and my dismay, the rain continued unabated today, and caused the area we were supposed to be conducting EVP research in to become a mud surfing slalom. So, we had to put things on hold for the time being.

Several things will be happening between now and mid-July for the team, (field and equiptment training, psychic training workshops, smaller cases, etc.), but our next huge outing, (which can't be interrupted by weather!), will be on July 18th at the Skytop Lodge in room 268 and the adjoining attic above. This is the seat of past activity in the building, and we will be setting up our cameras and holding a seance to try to contact whatever might be roaming the halls of this beautiful lodge! More on this as it approaches.

For tonight, the F.A.Q. Basics section is up-and-running. More coming as time permits. Thanks for sticking with us, and searching for answers!

It looks like this weekend might be a no-go for Indian Ladder. I'm not cancelling *yet*, I have to see the weather report tonight.

It seems that, due to legal red-tape, we can't use Janet Robin's music as a "soundtrack" in our upcoming documentary on Skytop Lodge, which is ashame because she really wanted to let us use it. She's a sweetheart, and has offered to help us in any other way possible on our project. Thank you again, Janet. Go buy her stuff people, she's an awesome singer and guitarist, (taught by Randy Rhodes!), and deserves to hit the big time! She's going to be coming locally again in September, at which time I'm going to try to get the whole team to go see her and get a picture with her for the page here.

On another note, I have procured music for our DVD from a gentleman named Bjorn Lynne for some of the ambient music throughout. We still need a theme. I have to work this one out yet...

Our E.V.P. section is up-and-running with all our old files, along with one I never posted before. Go check them out! The new one is under the "Coal Miner" case called "There's something of yours in there!", and it's incredible.

Welcome to the future site of the NEW Pocono Paranormal Research Society!

We are currently upgrading our site, so keep watching in the coming weeks for changes and all new stuff. We have an entirely new team with terrific new members, a new outlook, new methods, and we're still...

...searching for answers!

Thanks to everyone who visits our site regularly for updates and all our "fans" who write to us. Each and every kind word and e-mail is greatly appreciated.

We are currently involved in a large-scale project with the Skytop Lodge that will culminate into a DVD release on Halloween of this year along with a presentation on October 30th and 31st, 2009, at the lodge as proud guests at their "Spoo-tacular" celebration! We are humbled to have been asked, and are plugging away to prepare as exciting of a presentation as we can! Stay tuned!

If you have an emergency, please e-mail us at poconoparanormal@epix.net. As always, I will try to contact you within 24 hours. Otherwise, all other investigations will have to wait until after Halloween. Thanks for your understanding!

All our best,

Liza, Devon, Larry, Linda, Bryan, Kerri
