Skytop 2010 Return & Next Case

November 3rd, 2009 by John

I'm going on record here by giving a large "Thanks!" to Mr. Robert Baldassari for having us at Skytop for the past six months, and hosting us for the Spoo-tacular weekend, which, was deemed a success. To those ends, Bob has already invited us to the 2010 Spoo-tacular! We're going to toss ideas around for the next year, and some things will be tweaked, but you can depend on more ghost tours! Those were the most fun, and we're going to do them again, no doubt!

Are we resting here at PPR? Not for too long! We already have our next two cases lined up, the first coming up on November 21st, and several more in the wings.

The next case is a private residence in Bangor, Pennsylvania and involves shadow beings being seen around the house, peripherally and directly. Door handles moving and footsteps are also part of this anomaly. More on this when it occurs. The entire team is going to be present for this one, and it seems like it may *take* all of us. More on this as it draws closer.

More EVP and files from Skytop will be uploaded as the week progressed. We're still reviewing the audio from the "Ghost Tours" with the various interviewers that I was "teaching" how to interview, and, as Kerri reports, "Nothing yet!" Keep your fingers crossed!

November 1st, 2009 by John

Happy November all! I will be intermittantly posting things from our huge presentation and ghost hunt tours we performed during this past Friday and Saturday, so keep watching our website! For starters, a video above is posted of one of the "Ghost Hunting 101 Tutorials" we gave to everyone before the actual tour. We had FUN, and everyone learned a little something! Watch and enjoy!

October 30th, 2009 by John

Well, five months of preperations for PPR with the Skytop project, and tonight and tomorrow are the days! We will be hosting *real* ghost hunts to the crib closet starting tonight from 6pm to 10pm, then be there tomorrow as a meet-and-greet for the guests with a Q&A session ending with our presentation at 5pm in the library! A good time will be had by all! See you there...

Also of note recently is our interview by Mike Sadowski that appeared in the Pocono Record which can be viewed right here.

Also, I was interviewed briefly by Melanie Vanderveer for my take on the new movie "Paranormal Activity", which that article can be seen here. Thank you again to all the attention and publicity from the Pocono Record this year! We definitely appreciate the help in perpetuating the science of paranormal study that we do.

We've also been approached by WFMZ Channel 69 in Allentown about an interview, of which *may* happen over the weekend. We're hoping, but it's a 50/50 right now because I was informed, after they asked us, they realized they had staffing problems for Friday, and don't know if the weekend crew can do it. We'll keep you posted!

As a noteworthy addendum, one of our guest investigators, Karen, (who recently accompanied us on our Centralia, PA investigation), has won a local costume contest, coming in first place, dressed as... well, as one of us! She won dressed as a "paranormal investigator"! Congrats Karen! I *love* the shirt! Looking forward to having you with us again in the near future. Here's a look at Karen, all dressed up!

If I don't get a chance to post again until after, A SAFE AND HAPPY HALLOWE'EN EVERYONE! Until we post again, keep ...searching for answers!

Our Skytop DVD is finished, and orders are currently being filled! If you're interested, see the information below on how to order! The reviews are coming in already, and it's getting an overwhelmingly good response as for it's realism into the realm of paranormal investigation with a reality show feel versus the over-production and scripting of the popular investigative TV shows.

Here's how to order;

1. Go to Paypal.com and log-in.

2. Click on "Send Money"

3. Send $12.50 to our Paypal address, "greenboysworld@epix.net" - I am also a verified eBay seller, so your transaction is 100% SAFE - That's $10 for the DVD, and $2.50 for postage and packing.

4. The DVD'll be shipped right to your doorstep!

That's it! Keep in mind, these are homebrew DVD's in a slip case with a simple cover! What you'll be getting, however, is a chronicle of *real* paranormal investigation with a no-nonsense team who loves what they do! Forget the sensationalism on TV, this is what *really* happens on research sessions! You *won't* be disappointed. It was filmed like a paranormal reality show, and, I must say, came out quite nicely! We here at PPR have done all the assembly and editing ourselves, so you know a lot of love and time went into making it look just right. The running light is 60 minutes.

All proceeds from sales are going towards funding more equipment. Our first goal is a thermal imaging camera, or a FLIR. Wish us luck on our goal! Our fans continued support is greatly appreciated!

These DVD's will also be on sale at our Skytop Lodge presentation on October 30th and 31st. If you haven't signed up for that, maybe you should!!!! We will be giving away free Pocono Paranormal treats there for anyone who goes on a "ghost hunt" with us to the haunted crib closet! WHA-HA-HA!!!

Ahem...

Also, for sale right now are our official Pocono Paranormal Research gear! We currently have our polo shirts, and our golf jackets. Both of these items can be seen below in our Janet Robin photos. The ladies are wearing the golf jackets, and the men are wearing the polo shirts. These are also available for order in the same way as above, at Paypal. The items are available as follows;

Pocono Paranormal Research Polo Shirts - $35

Pocono Paranormal Research Golf Jacket Pullovers - $50

When you order these, there is a flat rate of $5 shipping per item. If ordering multiple items via Paypal, please include sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL available - and for the polo shirts, mens or womens!) If you'd like to send a check or money order, please write to me and I'll send you a shipping address.

Remember, all proceeds are going towards funding our "thermal cam FLIR fund" for the team. Every purchase helps us towards furthering our local research and getting closer to finding answers. Thank you for your support!

We were recently asked to do a promotional bumper for Psi-Fi Para-chat radio, so we obliged and did it! It's available right here at http://www.psifipararadio.com/ They have a lot of good programming, and say they are trying to bring positivity back to the paranormal realm of study. Good show! Below is a copy of the bumper I sent them for radio play in mp3 format. Listen, and you might hear us!

Our team at PPR has been working so hard recently, sometimes we need a breather to kick back and enjoy. This is what we did this weekend!

Saturday we had the data review with Mr. Robert Baldassari where we played the findings of our investigations at Skytop for the summer for him, which he was happy with, and amazed, and we filmed the ending of our DVD production, "The Haunting at Skytop" to be released on October 31st. Bob also gave us carte blanche to investigate other areas at Skytop after Halloween, and for this we are eternally grateful! We will be continuing our research efforts there in other capacities later this year, and into next spring at Indian Ladder, the golf course, and an interesting house that is on the Skytop's expansive property. Thanks again Bob!!!

Sunday, we all went to Langhorne, as a team, to see our favorite female performer, Miss Janet Robin! Who? Well, my wife and I saw Janet several times opening for Colin Hay, (of "Men At Work" frontman fame), but her sheer precision on guitar and melodic, yet powerful voice soon made her my absoulte favorite! When we were invited, as a paranormal team to a house concert in Langhorne, PA by Mr. Budd Robertson, we simply had to go. We missed our member, Linda, being there with her husband, Rick. As Kerri put it, "A piece of our family was missing!" They were scheduled to go, but a death in the family kept them from joining us. Next time, definitely!

Janet, whose prescense is online here and here, was nothing short of spectacular! She played several of her older songs, like "Natasha at the Liquor Store", and "Mad Mission", (which is the song she dedicated to Liza and I on our 15th wedding anniversary when we saw her at the Sellersville Theater in Sellersville, PA!) She also played a lot of her new ones from her incredible new CD produced by John Carter Cash, called "Everything Has Changed". She fininshed up with my fave new song, "View From Above", and left us wishing the concert would've lasted forever. We all had a wonderful time, despite the fact that, taking place outside, Janet was attacked by monster bugs several times!

Below are some pics from the concert, and, even though this is not paranormal news, this is our paranormal team kicking back. If it seems I'm plugging Janet, I *am*. This woman is an incredible singer, songwriter, and guitarist. She was taught, early-on, by guitarist Randy Rhodes of Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot fame, and she has played with bands such as Air Supply, Lindsay Buckingham, and was in the all-female band from the 90's, "Precious Metal". Go buy her CD right here! E-mail her and ask for details!

We will now return to our regularly scheduled paranormal team news, but first, enjoy our pics below of the team with Budd and Janet, and one of Janet on-stage in front of us. we have over a year, but if we can swing it, perhaps next year Kerri and Bryan from our team can hold a house concert locally with Janet, sponsored by Pocono Paranormal. We're going to start talking about it with Janet. Cross your fingers, folks!

The Centralia trip was a success, and I think we've proven there's activity there from some of the data we collected. I am posting a 23-and-a-half minute web-umentary that is totally unproduced, for your viewing pleasure. They show you, through heavy editing, all the "good" stuff on TV with shows like "Ghost Hunter" and "Paranormal State", but you never see the realism of behind-the-scenes stuff. Don't take this video too seriously, but this is us on a ghost hunt, checking out a legendarily haunted area. Due to You Tube's policy of videos that can't be over 10 minutes, I had to split the video into three files. They're all below for you, our visitors. Enjoy!

September 12th, 2009 by John
The team is awake, and we're currently preparing an outing to Centralia, PA, the site of the famous ghost town that has a perpetually burning underground mine fire. There are reports of ghostly activity surrounding the cemeteries and the silent hill within the town, so PPR is going to check it out and try to confirm this. More updates tomorrow along with some video in the form of a micro web-umentary, as it were. This is the first portion of our little project that we'll announce after Halloween and our Skytop Lodge presentation and DVD release. Great things are coming, so stay tuned, and thanks for visiting!

Also, our shirts are ready! We'll be putting up an order area before too long, so our visitors can get these awesome shirts before they're gone! The cost looks like it's going to be $30 per shirt, plus shipping. These are high-quality egyptian cotton, and real embroidery! They're made to last for a long time, and wear very hard and well, and I'm not just saying that to sell them. With a bit of an alteration on the embroidery, these are the exact same shirts we're going to wear on-the-field to identify us, and we need clothes that stand up to dusty environments where we're crawling around, and outside where we're skulking about cemeteries in the pitch dark, climbing through brush... hopefully you won't treat these shirts in that manner, but they *do* stand up to it. More on that within a few days!

Also, our DVD will be up for pre-order right here through our website on October 1st. For everyone who orders one, we will make sure, (as long as you order within a certain time-frame), that you'll have it by Halloween for spooky viewing, and, as always, PPR's reputation for witty, injected good-humor. Again, more on this very soon!

September 6th, 2009 by John
It's been a couple weeks, but be assured we are feverishly working on our DVD production, our Skytop EVP CD coming up, and our promotional giveaway at Skytop! I have decided on tankards because it seems to be a cover-all to be enjoyed by both sexes. We wanted flashlights to give away, but the site I keep trying to order them from is having "technical issues", so I've decided on these. This is the picture, which will be one-color, and include our URL at the bottom.

Another thing; we are currently working on a new project as to which I will officially announce here after Halloween! It is going to involve a year or so of work for the entire team, but we're ready for anything! This is, by no doubt, the strongest and most organized the team has ever been, and we are pushing it all-the-way!

On a sad note, our valued team member and psychic, Linda, is dealing with her mother-in-law recently becoming very ill. Without delving into personal details, I would ask that all our fans and visitors *please* say a prayer for her and the family in this difficult time. All the love and support of the entire team goes to Linda and family. The team here is like a family in itself, and we do feel her pain in this trying time. You guys are undoubtedly in our thoughts. Thank you everyone.

I am updating today to proudly display, as procured by investigator and esteemed team member Kerri, our logos in embroidery as they will appear on our limited edition polo shirts that will first be available at our Skytop Lodge presentation on Halloween, then right here on our website afterwards! The colors will be a bit different, (the lettering will be gold and the sign is going to be a bit darker), but you get the general idea. Make sure to book at Skytop Lodge for the Spoo-tacular weekend to get your first crack at these polo shirts!

Our final interior investigation was a success, despite a few "fan" setbacks. I was asked for my autograph twice, (which I complied of course, how humbling!), and was heckled by some guests which we simply handled the best way we knew how. However, we met some nice folks as well, so it all balances out.

Here are the teaser videos as promised from this weekends investigation. I might add that, in a couple weeks, I'll have a pre-order page up for our Halloween DVD release of the Skytop Lodge Investigation, so you'll be paid and locked in for a DVD when they're released. No scripts, no production, no sensationalism. This will contain all raw investigation files edited together to make a realistic presentation of exactly what it's like to do what we do. Forget what Hollywood has taught you about ghosts over the years, science shouldn't be scary! Without further ado, here are some clips. Enjoy!

August 13, 2009 by John
Wow, 10 days since the last update! I wanted to tell everyone that we're coming up on our final interior investigation of the Skytop lodge, and that will take place this weekend. We're going to be concentrating on the places where we've picked up the most activity, namely the west attic and the crib closet. The fourth floor seems to be the concentration centerpoint for some reason... now to figure out why. This is the more difficult part. We did, however, pick up an EVP last time we were there in the crib closet that something was telling us it was *not* happy with us being there. It states, "I'm pissed... PISSED!" We more-than-likely won't be including that on our DVD release because of the non-friendly family nature, but we have plenty of others. To that end, I'm going to post it here for all to hear. I never promised our website would be family-friendly, and, let's face it, kids say and hear worse on PBS these days. Here's the EVP;

Skytop Lodge EVP - Crib Closet - "I'm Pissed"

This is also posted on our EVP section of our website.

Whatever is answering us, it's not happy. We *have* been stirring them up quite a bit there, so the "spirits that be" will probably be happy to have us gone. Either way, enjoy listening to our results.

Another update will follow either Sunday or Monday, depending upon when we have time to rip the video. Have a nice weekend everyone!

August 3, 2009 by John
Here is the update I promised to everyone waiting to see how we did on Saturday night. I must admit, I was impressed with our work. We were concise, collected, and we got the job done. I'm putting up three teaser videos that will be included on our DVD release on October 30th at the Skytop Lodge Spoo-tacular and for sale afterwards here on the website.

The first video is Bryan and I in the west attic checking on a cart that seemingly moved itself. We could barely make this out from a distance, but as we approach it, it's blatently apparent that it's not where we left it. Then, other things start to happen...

The second video is our data review in the Willow Room at the Skytop Lodge. If you listen closely, you can hear something whisper "yea" in response on the EVP we're listening to.

The third and final video is of the table tipping in the dining room. We were having trouble contacting the spirits via the table, and just when we do, we hear something in the distance...

Like I said, all this and so much more will be available on our DVD. More ordering info is coming soon, so keep checking back if you're interested in a copy. All proceeds are to go for purchasing more and better equipment for our research starting with a FLIR thermal cam. Thanks everyone and stay with us! Great things are coming down the pike!

July 31, 2009 by John

Tomorrow night marks the second investigation inside the beautiful Skytop Lodge. We will be there throughout the night and into the wee hours researching the spa hallway, the west attic, and the dining room. We have added new equipment, so with a bit of luck we'll record some activity again somewhere! Keep posted for an update on Sunday or Monday...

The DVD production is coming along nicely, as are the promotions! Kerri is working on our shirts, (polo shirts of the highest quality with our team initials on it), and other high quality PPR items you'll be able to order when we're at Skytop on October 30th and 31st. Along with that, our DVD will go on sale that weekend, and I'm currently working on an EVP CD as well for inclusion with our fund raising goods. More on that as we develop it. We will be having a "ghost hunt" walk-thru on that weekend as well after the presentation with small teams of guests who are brave enough to accompany! At the end, we'll be giving away a little surprise to everyone who successfully completes the "walk-thru" as our thanks for joining us at the Spoo-tacular at Skytop.

Thanks again to all our fans and page visitors! Keep checking back for frequent updates, and, as always, should you need our assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us. We almost always answer our e-mail within a 24-hour period, so you'll never have to wait too long. Have a nice weekend all!

July 22, 2009 by John

I'm tossing up a quick update to inform everyone of how our data review on the preliminary Skytop Lodge investigation is going. Well, we seem to have caught quite a lot of electronic voice phenomena on this excursion. We are saving the bulk of what we have for our documentary DVD release, but I wanted to post a new one here since we've been starving for new evidence for quite some time now. With that stated, below is the first EVP sound. A full explaination of what we think is being stated is on our EVP section. Kerri, Bryan, Liza and I are continuing to scrutinize the data, so stay tuned because there is a lot more data and evidence to be extracted.

If you think you hear something different being said from what I have written out on the page, please e-mail us!

July 20, 2009 by John

Our "Paranormal Terminology" link has been updated and completed. Again, thanks for the patience with our upgrade, everyone! We're getting there, slow-but-sure.

We will now be gearing up for our next investigation at Skytop on August 1st. We're going to be going back to the Spa hallway and the west attic. These are two spots we captured a decent amount of data in, and I think we'd benefit from further investigating. Then, around midnight that night we'll be setting up in the dining room to see if we can spot a glimpse of the apparition that is reported to be seen sipping tea and walking about in there some nights dressed in 1930's clothing. More on this soon!

Have a great week everyone!
