**ANNOUNCEMENT**

To our loyal visitors and casual guests alike, for a long time you've known I've been trying to reformat things to make the page look a bit better and to be more organized. To that end, a reformatting will be imminent. However...

It seems that a certain "Pocono" paranormal group, (brought to my attention by Dave who quite accidentally found them, as a matter-of-fact), has seen fit to steal most of our programming and even some files, claiming to have captured them themselves at various locations. I assure all the people that visit our meager site that, all of our research is genuine, and nothing has been borrowed from anyone. This type of deplorable behavior is what makes the science look bad. To that end, we are now going to make our files streaming only. It's horrible that one has to encrypt one's own genuine files to keep others from stealing it and claiming they are capturing items that we have strived and done hard work for, including endless vigils of sitting and waiting for something to happen, or having gone through literally weeks of audio/video to hear just one EVP.

I have to have a serious think-tank with my esteemed colleague Dave, (who probably thinks I'm dead somewhere due to serious short-staffing at our place of work - too much overtime is never a good thing), and do some mental "reformatting".

The blog will be integrated into our new page. The files we have will *STAY*, because we have nothing to cover up. These are ours, plain-and-simple. Unaltered, untouched, audibly augmented where the situation called for it. Either way, our data stays. We have to rewrite another FAQ for two reasons. One, things have changed. We are going to expand our field of investigation to include cryptozoology and UFOlogy. These fall into the paranormal realms. We also may surprise a bit, but we have other ideas. Two, this was another file that was stolen and slightly reworked as another's work. Sad.

We also would like to implement a video "show", as it were, into a monthly format. This way we'd have a webcast almost like "TAPS". (For any one who hasn't seen "Ghost Hunter", I suggest you watch it!)

Finally, we will be changing our team name. There are simply too many Pocono "investigators" who are simply in it for a "thrill". (That's not saying *all* of them in this region! There are some very good investigative teams out there!) They capture data for the thrill of entering a "haunted house", and then have no idea what to do next. These things must be followed up, and there are certain precautions you must take to not make the manifestation worse. It's not an exact science, but we do learn from experience.

If there are any ideas for new team names, I'm all ears. I was thinking "Countryside Anomalous Research Society". C.A.R.S.? If anyone writes with an idea, and we end up using it, there'll be a T-shirt in the deal for them when they're designed.

Thanks for listening folks, and keep watch on this page in the coming weeks for a new link to a new site. Thanks for visiting, and keep "searching for answers"!

All my best,

Pocono Paranormal John

Happy Saturday folks! The PPRS Blog has been updated with information on possible upcoming cases.

September 14th PPRS Blog Update

This blog is really working out for me, so until renovations can be made, (hopefully sooner than later), this will be my way of staying "in-touch".

I, John, made it through to George Noory again last night while he was discussing soul travel. I definitely believe in Astral Projection/Out-of-body experiences being that I've studied and experienced them myself for many years now. More on this in the blog, but I wanted to post the call. Not too happy at being at the bottom of the hour and not getting even a third of my story on-air, but that's the way it goes. I will type my entire experience up some day and post it here for all to read. For now, my less-than-spectacular radio clip.

Another wonderful ghost video has surfaced online. This footage comes from about 100 miles west of us at one of the battlefields of Gettysburg, PA. You have to watch closely, but you can definitely see figures moving about in the woods. From my personal experience and what exposure I've had to the paranormal, this could well be authentic. I leave you with the video;

Another thing I want to mention while I'm thinking of it; Coming this fall we will be doing more investigations involving the spectral side of the paranormal, but coming next spring, I'd like the team to delve into some cryptozoological/mythical creatures and UFO/Alien investigations. Dave has a lot of knowledge on tracking and the outdoors that it would be a shame to put such skills to waste in a team such as ours. This area is rich in lore with such items as the "Jersey Devil", and even "Sasquatch". Also, one of the largest UFO hot-spots in North America is along the Taconic parkway throught NY state. More on this as it develops.

For now, I leave you with a video that was sent to me from Spain of an alleged video of what is being referred to as a "fallen angel". Is it real? Who knows. Still, it's incredibly creepy nonetheless. Spanish is the spoken language in the video, but the subtitles might not be appropriate for kids. Then again, the video probably isn't either. Enjoy!

Another tidbit of news - On July 20, 2007 John actually made it through on the phone lines to Coast to Coast AM with George Noory and spoke about a possible hoax being involved with the moon landings of the late 1960's. To hear that original file in windows media format, click below.

John has also spoken with Art Bell previous to his retirement. That call is below. It had to do with the now-famous "Chad Drone photos". These pictures depict what seems to be some kind of hovering device for... well, for something. According to my research, these have been photoshopped. I personally don't believe they exist, however, I'd love to be proven wrong. You can hear my debate with Art, (God bless the man, I still miss hearing him on Coast to Coast AM since his retirement), by clicking below. One of the infamous "Chad Photos" is pictured below as well.

Lord Vader... Rise!

I had to brag a little here to all our visitors about the newest member of our family. This, my friends, is Vader, (named so from Anakin Skywalker's totally black-clad alter-ego of Star Wars fame.) He's a purebred CKC certified black german shepherd, being that, his full certified name is "Lord Vader; the Storm of Saylorsburg". I never knew that shepherds were bred in any other color than the black/brown, but little Vader here was the first one we saw, and the little guy came home with us the next day to ghost-central. He's a terror, but we love him! He is the first male dog I've ever owned, and I'm here to tell you that they are definitely different to "raise" than females. Our other two, Holly and Mistletoe, seem to be dealing with him. Missy wants to "mother" him a little, but Holly tolerates a lot less which is proven by the *ear-shattering* barking competitions they get into on a daily basis! Either way, this is Vader and I as of tonight. He's about quadrupled in size over the past couple months we've had him, (he's not quite six months old), and he'll get bigger yet, we're told. My bragging time is now officially over.

UPDATED September 12th, 2007

I have just added a blog for future posting of research with an explaination in the first post as to where the heck everyone has been.

New "Pocono Paranormal Research" Blog

"The boys" standing next to actress Jayne Mansfield's gravesite

Greetings all, and a happy, albeit belated, New Year. Dave, Liza and myself are just getting back from an investigation today which we are reviewing and checking the data. Results will be posted in a week or so. This home has, what seems to be, a single entity haunting with the area of concentration being in the basement. More on this as we review the data we've collected. Two photos that we can show are below. One shows a contrail and energy concentration in the north-western portion of the basement. The second shows concentrated energy at the top of the basement steps. We have many more, but like I said, they must be reviewed. As I sit here listening to the audio, it seems as if we've caught some valid E.V.P. in several areas, including the attic. In the below photos, note the contrail on the right of Dave's leg in the first photo.

Our mission?

We simply want to prove that there's something beyond what we understand as "real". Isn't that all that any paranormal researcher is really after? Isn't the ultimate unanswered question "What lies beyond our physical death?" after all?

Please feel free to navagate our site and enjoy what we have accomplished so far. This site will, from here on, be updated weekly. Our investigations happen about twice a month through the warm weather. If you have an anomaly that you'd like checked out, please feel free to e-mail us. Our services are always free.

Thank you again for coming to visit us, and again, please enjoy!

A word from Liza...

Hurricane season in the USA for 2006 will soon be upon us once again. The sad thing is, most of the clean-up efforts from last year are still happening. When disaster strikes, humans know what's happening around them, animals unfortunately don't. There were more animals than humans left homeless during last years one-two punch of Katrina and Rita's devastation. A lot of these animals are still without loving homes.

Meet Missy.

The Pocono Paranormal Research Society has a human interest story that, while having nothing to do with ghosts or the paranormal, has everything to do with human spirit and the will to survive. Mistletoe Louise, (Missy for short), was one of the unfortunate animals that lost everything to these horrible hurricanes. She's a fiesty Shetland Sheepdog mix with a will bigger than the entire state of Louisiana. She is an amazing little creature that has brought so much love to our home, we couldn't imagine our lives without her. She survived for three days on a piece of driftwood near where the levvies burst. The amazing part of this story? She was only three months old. The astounding part of this story? She's physically handicapped. What makes Missy "handicapped" is that she has a mal-formed front left paw. It's only about 2/3's the size that it should be and has no toes on it. We call it her "nubby". She was born with this disability and what seems to be a *very* strong will to survive. She is now almost a year old, and she manages her handicap quite well. John and I had wanted to do something to help with the disaster last year, so, aside from donating a decent sum, we adopted this little angel. She is worth her weight in gold... and then some. Aside from that, now our other pup, Holly, has a sister. Get it? Mistletoe and Holly.

If you can find it in your heart and your pocket, please give to your local Humane Society. They need so much for these animals, and still have so many that need homes. You'll never be sorry. Just look into the eyes of our little girl. You simply cannot measure love.
