The Pocono Paranormal Research Society

We have been talking about this case for quite some time around here, (to those of you who follow our cases), and it still has us baffled. we definitely made progress today, but we need to see what the outcome is in the coming weeks. I am getting ahead of myself, however. Below is the picture you've been seeing on our front page for about a week now. It seems to be a cherubic "something" sitting on or around the furnace in this basement. Interesting.

However, the following photos you did not see. This image captured what appears to be a hooded figure peering around a corner holding a cane.

This third captured image appears to be the face of an old man peering around a corner.

To confuse matters, faces have been appearing in the refridgerator. There have been loads of these images with various faces appearing, but this is one of the best and clearest. It appears to be a man with a fixed expression.

There have been orbs captured, contrails, ecto clouds, etc. There is definitely something residing there. The thing is, the lady living here has had this enigma follow her from place-to-place over the years, so this is not a spacial haunting, though it acts like an entity haunting. As a child she was scared out of her wits by a 6-foot Teddy Bear doing what appeared to be sit-ups in her bedroom. When she closed her eyes and reopened them it's face was right in hers staring her down.

Another time, in this current residence, she saw a man dressed in coal miner clothes standing at the bottom of her cellar steps. The funny thing? She knows that this is the same "being" that has been hounding her all her life. How? It's eyes, the window to the soul. All of these incarnations of this same being at different times in her life share the same feeling and the eyes.

This is why she originally contacted us; to see if we can figure out why. Well, we're a bit closer now than before. Today, the four of us - Liza, Chiryl, Jess, and myself - tackled this problem with a bit of progress.

As you can see from this picture of Liza, there is free-floating energy in the air all over in this basement.

Jess gets down-to-business multi-tasking with the no-contact thermometer and EMF meter while an orb occupies her space.

Liza tried to channel this thing to see if perhaps we could understand a little more of what it's all about. She ended up contacting a meek little boy named "Robert" who liked to be called "Bob" for short, a second and unnamed spirit, and a third malevolent being named Vance who did not appear to like us at all. At one point we heard scratching coming from the cellar, so we went out there. Chiryl asks "Is this just my imagination?" and something answers her "Yes", Which, of course, simply reinforces that it certainly was not her imagination. Below is a picture of Chiryl taking notes while Liza channels.

Let it also be known that we picked up loads of EVP in this basement. Some very clear "Class A" EVP was present, as can be heard in the various files below.

This first file is a bit baffling. It sounds, clear as a bell, as if this spirit is saying "A Tulpa". This is something I had been researching earlier on in the week and had mentioned to the owner of the house as a possibility. Did the spirit read her e-mail as she did and is now mocking us? This is almost what it seems like. You can hear me, John, babbling away about something in the beginning of this file, then you'll hear the EVP around the file's middle.

This file is a bit longer, but it needed to be to allow all of what's going on to be heard. Liza was using a talking board to channel the entities, and the sliding of the planchette can be heard. It sounds like breath escaping but it's not. What is not noise created by us is the electrical popping noise you hear throughout the file. Plus, at one point as you can hear me, John, calling out letters, something states the word "graceful".

I, John, have gastro-intestinal problems. My stomach was rumbling something fierce during the investigation. Just ask my collegues! My point? This file is not my stomach rumbling. Chiryl is trying to get a rise out of the present entity(s) and she ends up getting a moan as a response.

This is a strange little file that was picked up during the channeling. It appears as if something simply states "beast", and then, a few seconds later says, "creeper". Odd.

Chiryl, a wonderful interviewer for EVP, was asking the local entities, "Are you listening to us now?" Her response is a sort of half-hearted "Ehhhhh, yea..."

This was another file picked up during Liza's channeling. It appears to say "Oh!", then you hear Jess say something in the background, then again you'll hear the entity say the word "and".

This is very clear, but you have to listen. The words are actually stated twice, but the second time they are more audible.

Again, this is very clear, but you have to really listen. It could be classified as a "Class B". The EVP follows the completion of my sentance, "...know what's going on."

This entity is actually talking over top of Jess and myself. It sounds like it's saying the word "noise". Later in the file you can hear a squeak.

This is one you'll hear right in the beginning of the file stating, very matter-of-factly, "Who?!" Then, at the end of the file there is a loud electrical popping again.

I left my original "yea" in the file so you could get an idea as to what was going on. It seems as if one of the entities is mocking me, or trying to join in the conversation. You'll hear me say "Yea" in agreement with Jess, then, as she's talking, you can hear a whisper "yea..."

Again, it seems as if something is mocking me. We're all simply sitting there talking about talk boards for channeling and as soon as I say "it's gone", something mocks me and repeats the phrase. Then, later you can hear it whisper "yea" again.

Actually, you'll find self-aware entities doing this quite often. Someone is simply saying "hi!" to us.

This phrase can be heard being spoken directly into the recorder as you can hear all of us in the background simply preparing. It leaves emphatic spaces between it's words. This is strange actually, because we all, at certain times, felt as if there was a band of heat circulating our heads.

There were so many circumstances of EVP in the hour-and-a-half that we recorded. What you are seeing above represents the best of what we captured. The rest was unintelligable and, while it could be used as examples of EVP, it's best left as "undetermined". My point is, there's activity galore in this residence.

This video file shows what appears to be an orb in motion. It comes from the far-right-top of the screen and gets closer to the camera until it disappears into the foreground by the bottom-left.

This video shows a gentleman sitting in the "haunted" area in the basement as two orbs float around then past him.

This one is incredible. It shows a free-floating energy that zooms down then up in front of the camera. After the lady moves from in front of the camera, the energy can be seen from the left to the right of the screen heading downward. It disappears off-camera for a split-second, then travels upward in front of the wishing well. Click here to view this one.
