The Slateford Bridge Legend11-14-03
![]()
This legend is actually true, according to local history. Back in the late 1930's black laborers were commissioned to work on the railroad overpass that goes over the little town of Slateford, PA, (off route 611 in Upper Mt. Bethel.) The town is literally so small, (all on one road), that if you blink, you'll miss it. Anyway... The second part, (and the part we were trying to confirm), to this tale of horror is that his restless spirit walks the area in Slateford surrounding the bridge and support columns. We had to investigate! We caught some very good energy orbs on film, as can be seen below. Another thing I could hear while snapping these photos were hints of whispers in the surrounding woods. If only I'd had my better equiptment with me to set up. Unfortunately, we were trespassing. In a case like this, you try to get in, get your photos, and get out! Below are the actual photos. Keep in mind, it was pitch dark.
